為了引入更多海外醫科人才，香港政府於2022年4月27日公布首批認可海外醫學學歷資格名單，當中包括澳洲墨爾本大學Doctor of Medicine 及 Monash 大學的Doctor of Medicine & Bachelor of Medical Science 醫學課程。同年6月8日公布第二批認可海外醫學學歷資格，學生只要取得相關學歷，便可透過免試途徑回港，經5年公營醫院實習後特別註冊。
現時，香港認可澳洲醫學學歷資格包括︰
- Australian National University 澳洲國立大學 Medicinae ac Chirurgiae Doctoranda (4 年制)
- Monash University 莫納什大學 Doctor of Medicine; Bachelor of Medical Sciences (5年制)
- The University of Adelaide 阿德萊德大學 Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (6年制)
- The University of Melbourne 墨爾本大學 Doctor of Medicine (4年制)
- The University of New South Wales (UNSW) 新南威爾斯大學 Doctor of Medicine; Bachelor of Medical Studies (6年制)
- The University of Queensland 昆士蘭大學 Doctor of Medicine (4年制)
- The University of Sydney 悉尼大學 Doctor of Medicine (4年制)
